The short version
GUFFAW has no account, does not request contact access, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not track people across apps or websites. Stock decks work offline.
Product analytics and diagnostics
The planned production build uses Firebase Analytics Core, Remote Config, and Crashlytics for app operation, product interaction, coarse geography, and technical diagnostics. GUFFAW does not send player names, team names, card or deck text, Kid-Safe PINs, raw motion samples, replay video, or report text to those services.
Camera replay
Camera replay is optional, video-only, and recorded on the device while a round is active. GUFFAW does not upload it. The temporary replay is deleted after Save or Share succeeds, when Results closes, or during cleanup after an abandoned session. A saved or shared copy goes only to the destination the player chooses.
Kid-Safe
The PIN representation, age ceiling, failed-attempt count, and lockout deadline stay in the device Keychain. A fresh-install check clears surviving Kid-Safe data after reinstall.
Card reports
A report contains a random report ID, stable card and deck IDs, one closed reason, and a timestamp. It does not include card text or player data. Pending reports use protected local storage. The planned service keeps only metadata and expires server records within 24 hours.
Group Deck
The planned Group Deck service accepts an opaque installation ID, locale, Kid-Safe flag, two to eight first names, and optional short hints. It does not accept surnames, photos, or contacts. The production flow remains disabled until provider retention is contractually limited to no more than 24 hours and the live safety checks pass.
This website
Cloudflare delivers this static website and necessarily receives network data such as an IP address, request headers, and the page requested for delivery and security. The site sets no cookies and contains no client-side analytics, advertising, support form, or third-party script. Choosing the email link opens the player’s own email service; the website does not receive that message.
Purchases
Purchases and subscription entitlement are not active in this pre-release notice. This page will be updated with the exact App Store and Adapty data flow before purchases are enabled.
